Safety Committee
The Safety Committee’s charge is to provide staff training on safety matters, review injury and police reports for possible amelioration of safety issues, and to act as an information dissemination point for safety issues and information coming from campus, Hill entities (the Field Station for the Study of Behavior, Ecology and Reproduction, the Space Sciences Laboratory, and Mathematical Science Research Institute), and the Grizzly Peak neighborhood.
- Committee Membership
Committee members are nominated by units within the Lawrence, with the aim of providing contact points and representation from each group. Appointments are confirmed by the Lawrence Leadership. Lawrence Safety Information
The Lawrence Safety Manual is required reading for all Lawrence employees, as it includes contact details, procedures, and evacuation plans. The Key Information from Safety Manual provides a quick reference with emergency phone numbers and an abbreviated description of evacuation procedures.

Building Safety Tours
Building safety tours are provided in person several times a year, and are open to all Lawrence staff. The Self Guided Building Safety Tour reviews the information covered in the building safety tours.
Incident Reports
In the event of any injury occurring at the Lawrence, staff are required to fill out and submit an incident report. Forms can be found here, or on the file server (LHS share, HallInfo, SafetyCommittee). This applies to injuries or incidents involving visitors, staff, and any other person at the Lawrence. Submission instructions can be found on the form.
