Blu Portal – in addition to a centralized place for personnel info and some U.C. business access, it provides three sources accessed by your CALNet ID:
- e-Learn (available training courses from Skillport & reference books 24×7)
- eTrain (online UC tutorials and training)
- UC Learning Center — Instructor-led (ILT), online courses, and other resources for ongoing learning & development.
University Health Services – Faculty & Staff services has some great handouts on personal wellness & health topics. Under CARE services they offer workshops and training. They also offer stretch break software for your computers, etc.
CALPACT – offers computer courses (usually 1-2 days) presented by a UC partner vendor AcademyX for free and offers a 40% discount for UC employees for courses taken at their training facility.
Safari Books Online – Available when logged into UC networks, provides access to software manuals and books, etc. from O’Reilly Publishing.
Berkeley HR webpage – The main Berkeley webpage presents a lot of resources, as on the HR webpage.

Museum Membership
As a Lawrence staff person, you automatically get a Carbon-level membership to the Lawrence (two named adults and up to six people per day). This also gets you free or reduced admission to hundreds of other museums around the country through the Association of Science and Technology Centers Passport Program and Association of Children’s Museums Reciprocal Network.
