How to Make Slider Posts

1. Create a new Post

• Go to the Dashboard -> Post -> Add New Post

2. Add content

• Add the title of the page and the paragraph description in the block editor and any other additional content

3. Select the category

• Choose the category that matches the category that the slider is displaying.
• Note: the categories are built so they display content on specific places on the website. They are not built to tag content if you think it matches that topic. Please only put posts in the category to match the slider.

4. Add a feature image

• Add a feature image in the sidebar. This will be the image that displays in the slider.
• Add alt text to the image when you upload it to the Media Library.

5. Add excerpt text

• Add excerpt text in the sidebar. This will be the text that displays in the slider.

5. Decide if you want to display this post or link directly to another already existing page

• You can publish this post and it will appear in the slider. Or, instead scroll down and use the EXTERNAL LINK field and click the SELECT LINK button to add the URL of the page you want to link to.
• If you choose the external link option, the feature image and excerpt text will display in the slider, but the link will go directly to the external link page and NOT to the post.
